2025 Field Camp Scholarship
Up to one scholarship will be awarded to declared geological sciences majors who are at least sophomores to assist the student with geologic field camp costs and to promote student participation in the Hudson-Mohawk Professional Geologists Association.
Scholarship Awards
Scholarship awards in the amount of $1,000 each will be made to eligible students that are a resident of or attending a college or university in New York. Scholarships are intended to be used to support tuition, travel, supplies, and/or room and board for the purpose of attending geologic field camp.
Eligibility Requirements
Any student who is majoring in geology (or earth science), is at least a sophomore, and is a resident of or attending a college or university in New York can apply.
Each student who is awarded a scholarship agrees, by accepting the scholarship, to prepare a 400- to 600-word article for publication in HMPGA’s monthly newsletter. The subject of the article must be related to a timely professional issue or your field camp experience.
